Shah Rukh Khan Reveals Why He’ll Never Live in an Apartment, Jokes: ‘The Film Industry Dances to My Tune
Shah Rukh Khan answers questions about his returement and whether he believes he is a good dancer. ‘I don’t need to dance, poori film industry mere ungaliyoon pe nachti he,’ SRK said.
Can you imagine Shah Rukh Khan living in a 2-BHK? Neither can the superstar. Filmmaker Karan Johar hosted a fun question-answer round with the actor recently at an award show, throwing at him queries which included why he has never considered moving into an apartment, if he thinks he is a good dancer and what will happen to romance once he retires.
During a special segment of the IIFA 2024, which was hosted by Shah Rukh and Vicky Kaushal, Karan Johar came on stage and asked the superstar a few questions.
“You live in Mannat, a bungalow, but have you ever thought of living in an apartment?” the filmmaker asked, to which Shah replied, “Ho he nahi sakta na, kyuki mere upar koi ho he nahi sakta. Main actors ki ceiling hu (See that’s not possible, because no one can be above me. I am the ceiling of all actors),” as the audience roared.
Karan Johar then asked Shah Rukh, what will happen to romance after he hangs up his boots. The 58-year-old actor, who is known as the King of romance, quipped, “Actually, romance will retire with me.” The camera then cuts to actor Rani Mukerji, his long-time collaborator and a close friend, who is seen cheering at his statement.
The filmmaker then asks Khan if he believes he is a good dancer, to which the superstar channels his trademark on-screen smugness and jokes, “Mujhe dancing ki zaroorat he nahi padti, puri film industry mere ungliyon pe nachti hai (I don’t need to dance, the film industry sways to my fingertips)” as the audience yet again broke into a huge applause.
